Mr. Coffey holds master degrees in vocational rehabilitation and in business administration, both from The University of Texas. He has completed the post-masters academic certificate in forensic vocational rehabilitation from Minnesota State University. This involved additional advanced course work in earnings analysis, disability law and opinion development. Mr. Coffey is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Vocational Evaluation Specialist (CVE.), Disability Management Specialist (CDMS), Case Manager (CCM), Dept. of Labor designated (OWCP), and Registered Forensic Vocational Expert (FVE).
Since 1989, Mr. Coffey has provided first-class evaluation and restorative services to hundreds of persons with employment barriers due to injury or illness. After beginning his career in state service with the visually impaired in Austin, he moved to San Antonio and began working with industrially injured workers. In 1995 he began service as a vocational case manager with Genex Services, Inc., providing a broad range of medical and vocational case management services. In 2001, he began his forensic career as a vocational expert to the Social Security Administration. Today, Mr. Coffey is a vocational rehabilitation consultant with Re-Employment Resources, L.C. of San Antonio, Texas where he works individually and directly with persons with long-term medical limitations.
